When most people think of a children's ministry they think of a ministry where adults or teens are ministering to children. But, eight year old Markus had a different idea.

Markus envisioned a ministry where children actively participate in ministering to adults and children alike. Serving at our Community HUG Cookouts Markus came up with the idea of assembling gift bags to be handed out at our events and on other occasions.

The first event performed was the sneak- attack late-night distribution of Easter bags at a local mobile home community. The next was demonstrating God's love at our Mother's Day church services.  At the time of writing this the Bags of Love ministry is preparing to distribute goodie bags at our next cookout.

Participation in the Bags of Love ministry is an easy and fun ministry for children, teens and adults alike. A few hours is spent assembling the bags and participates attend the event to hand them out to guests. Children learn the value of giving and he thrill of witnessing the happiness they bring others. Each bag contains one of more gifts suitable for the occasion along with a special message. But most of all each bag contains love, the love of Christ demonstrated through the heart of a child.
