04/19/2010: "The Thumb Twiddlers"

Weeeeell, it was bound to happen. We had planned a HUG Cookout at the Pine Hills mobile home community in Stockbridge for Saturday, April 17, and we blew it!

A number of circumstances arose during the week and on the day of the event which threw us (the author) completely out of whack. Not the least being that we had printed the circulars we were distributing for the event in Spanish, which happened to be a language that no-one in the community spoke! OOOPS! My bad!

But, we had a great time anyhow, and attendance was not all that bad. A number of residents did show up which we were able to witness to. We even had one new guest at church Sunday morning and a couple of residents volunteered to help us with events at other locations in the future. So, it was all worthwhile even though it was a little slow.

Many thanks to the volunteers who helped and provided with the event. We appreciate your efforts.. and next time we are gonna knock their socks off!
